# Intellectual Property

As Holos connects real-world content and digital assets, intellectual property (IP) considerations are critical. NFTs grant usage rights, not ownership of intellectual property.

### NFTs Grant Usage Rights, Not Ownership of IP

Purchasing an NFT does not transfer copyright or trademark rights

**Users are allowed to:**

1. Hold, trade, and display NFTs on Holos
2. Share NFT visuals on social media for personal, non-commercial purposes

**Users may not:**

1. Use NFTs for commercial purposes
2. Modify or sell merchandise featuring NFT designs
3. Misrepresent NFTs as official or endorsed content

Unauthorized use may constitute infringement.

### Official Licensing and Procurement

* All items traded on Holos are officially licensed and sourced via legal channels
* Prevents inclusion of counterfeit or pirated goods
* NFT metadata respects existing copyright and trademark law

Ensures a legitimate and trusted environment.

### Future Expansion into Original IP

* Holos plans to develop its own original IP and content packs
* Commercial-use NFTs may be offered under specific terms
* Initiatives may include:
  1. Community-driven IP development
  2. NFT-based licensing for derivative works

The platform will balance IP respect with user creativity.

### Infringement Handling Protocol

* Holos will remove infringing content upon discovery or legal request
* User accounts may be suspended for repeated violations
* Information may be disclosed to rights holders when appropriate

This promotes a secure, legally compliant marketplace for all users.
